商品詳細Product Detail
"Kihachi Tabata V" – A design inspired by Shoen Uemura’s masterpiece *Honoo* (Flame). It captures the anguish of Lady Rokujo—a passion frozen in intensity—while revealing the profound beauty lying beneath that emotion.
The pattern features wisteria blossoms rendered in silver embroidery and *yaki-gin* (oxidized silver) techniques. The hair, flowing from the sleeves across the back, is hand-painted with exquisite artistic sensibility. The base color is a unique, indescribable shade of silvery-gray (*gin-nezu*). This is a supreme masterpiece, created in 2009 when Tabata was 73 years old.
Although it has been carefully preserved in a storehouse until now, I have decided to offer it for sale so that others may appreciate it. Notably, this kimono was featured in the April 2009 issue of *Fujingaho* magazine, appearing in the title of a dialogue between Atsushi Uemura and Kihachi Tabata.
P.S. Works by Kihachi Tabata V are a rarity in the kimono world in that their market values are listed in the *Bijutsu Nenkan* (Yearbook of Art). Please take the time to fully appreciate this masterpiece by Kihachi Tabata V, a distinguished figure who has served as the chairman of the Association of Traditional Craft Artists.
