This piece comes from a distinguished weaving family that has been crafting costumes for the Imperial Court, the nobility, and feudal lords since 1572. It represents the highest grade of hand-woven obi produced by Monya Iseki. It is a magnificent creation featuring a "Paulownia, Bamboo, and Phoenix" motif woven into the lining. You are unlikely to ever encounter an obi of this caliber again.
