Shrine visit/Shichigosan
Hatsumiyamairi is the first shrine visit after a child is born. An event to thank Ubusunegami and pray for its protection and growth.
It is held on the 31st day for boys and the 33rd day for girls.
As a celebration of growth, children aged 7, 5, and 3 are dressed in festive clothes and visit shrines to pray for their healthy growth and good luck.
