This is a retro-modern *haori* (kimono jacket) woven in the early Showa period. It is a lovely piece featuring a stylish brown base with a floral *kasuri* (ikat) pattern, and it also boasts a stylish lining. You can wear it over a kimono, of course, but it also looks wonderful worn over modern Western clothing when you head out.
