This exquisite kimono is the result of a complex process involving dyeing the threads 30 times using plant dyes and mud dyes. The threads are then ikat-dyed to create geometric gradients using a delicate seven-mark ikat weave. Skilled weavers weave approximately 30cm per day, creating a beautiful and time-consuming garment.
