This is a wonderful obi made of hon-suzuki (Japanese traditional sash). The "Tsumekaki" style is a highly prestigious item that has the same rank as the "Fukuro obi" even though it is a Nagoya obi. It takes about 40 days for this piece to be made, and the craftsmen do everything by hand from the twisting to the weaving process.
